David Robbins Tien, M.D.
Dr. Tien graduated from the University of Michigan
Medical School. He is a board-certified pediatric ophthalmologist,
having completed his ophthalmology residency at New
York University and his fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology
and strabismus at Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital.
He is the director of ophthalmology at Hasbro Children's
Hospital and an associate clinical professor for the
Brown University Department of Ophthalmology. He has
hospital appointments at Rhode Island Hospital, Hasbro
Children's Hospital, Women and Infants' Hospital, and
Kent County Hospital.

Gi Yoon-Huang, M.D.
Dr. Gi Yoon-Huang received her M.D. from New York Medical College in 2000. Her ophthalmology residency was at the renowned New York Eye and Ear Infirmary from 2001-2004. She then practiced comprehensive ophthalmology at the Eye Center of Missouri for two years before serving her fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at Washington University School of Medicine from 2006 to 2007 under the direction of Lawrence Tycshen, M.D. and Gregg Leuder, M.D. She is fully trained is all aspects of pediatric ophthalmology and adult eye muscle disorders.
Dr. Yoon is a 1996 cum laude graduate of Duke Unversity where she received her B.A.. She will be joining the faculty at Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University as clinical instructor of surgery (ophthalmology).

Annie F. Kuo, MD
Dr. Annie Kuo is a fellowship trained pediatric ophthalmologist. A native
of California, she received her B.A in Molecular and Cell Biology from the
University of California, Berkeley, and her M.D. from the University of
Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine.
She served her internship at the University of Utah Hospitals, and her
ophthalmology residency at the University of Utah, Moran Eye Center. Her
fellowship was at the University of Michigan, Kellogg Eye Center. |

Tineke L. Chan, MD
Dr. Chan is happy to join the staff at Pediatric Ophthalmology
and Strabismus Associates after completing a fellowship
at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh / University
of Pittsburgh Medical Center. New Jersey-born, Dr. Chan
received her B.A. from Georgetown University, then M.D.
from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Her ophthalmology
residency was completed at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center
of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. A board-certified
ophthalmologist, Dr. Chan is well-trained in pediatric
ophthalmology as well as adult motility disorders.

Myra McGuinness, Orthoptist
Myra McGuinness completed her Bachelor of Orthoptics
in 1999 at La Trobe University in Bundoora, Victoria,
Australia. She worked as an orthoptist in Melbourne
and Victoria before moving to the United States in
2006 to join Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus
Associates in Providence, Rhode Island. |

Samantha Garner, Orthoptist
Samantha Garner received her orthoptic training at the Ross Eye Institute in Buffalo, New York. Growing up in Boston, MA, she attended and graduated from the Boston Latin School in 2000. She pursued the sciences at Regis College until 2002 and graduated from the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth with a B.S. in Biology in 2004. After becoming certified in 2011, she moved to Providence, RI to join our practice. |
